Darrell Hammond

Actor/comedian Darrell Hammond is known for being one of the most prolific comedians of his time.
Darrell continues to move audiences with his comedy, performing in New York and throughout the entire country. Darrell gave Comedy Central it’s biggest ratings to date for a 1/2 hour comedy special performing in his own Comedy Central Presents: Darrell Hammond. He appeared frequently on the late night shows with David Letterman, Jay Leno, and Conan O’Brien.
Darrell is also the author of the critically acclaimed memoir, “God If You’re Not Up There, I’m F***ed: Misadventures with Fake Noses, Funny Accents, Addiction, and Saturday Night Live”, which was released by Harper Collins in October of 2011 to rave reviews. Darrell developed a one-man show based on his life with Tony-Award winning director Christopher Ashley (Come From Away) which premiered at the La Jolla Playhouse (2017). He stars in the documentary film, CRACKED UP, and is now a keynote speaker and advocate for adult survivors of childhood trauma who have often been misunderstood and misdiagnosed, as well as an actor and comedian. He and the film's director, Michelle Esrick, have appeared on TV, radio, podcasts, at trauma conferences, and before Congress, sharing the film and educating others about the long-arm of childhood trauma and the need for trauma-informed approaches to healing.

Michelle Esrick is an award-winning filmmaker, poet, and social activist.
Esrick’s recent film, CRACKED UP premiered at DOC NYC Film Festival (2018).CRACKED UP features Saturday Night Live veteran, Darrell Hammond and through his story, we witness the impact adverse childhood experiences can have across a lifetime. Esrick’s social activism went all the way to the Capital with a successful presentation before Congress. Making the point that childhood trauma is a root cause of addiction, which resulted in nine provisions for trauma-informed care being added to the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act. October 24th, 2018 the President signed this bill in to law.
Esrick directed and produced the multi-award winning film, The Wavy Gravy Movie: Saint Misbehavin’, which premiered on Showtime, PBS and Netflix. The New York Times hailed, Saint Misbehavin’ is an unabashed love letter to the world that defies the cynicism of our age.” (2011). The Wavy Gravy Movie will be re-mastered and released this summer (2019).
Esrick Executive Produced the Netflix Original film, Ram Dass, Going Home. Widely acclaimed, the film was short-listed for an Academy Award. (2017) She directed the music video, LET’S RISE! CNN called LET’S RISE! the anthem for the March For Our Lives Movement airing the segment internationally to 350 million viewers worldwide. Ranking LET’S RISE! among the most important protest songs of the year, CNN featured Esrick and her work in a 2018 year-end television special.
Donielle Prince

In her role as the San Francisco Bay Area community facilitator, Dr. Donielle Prince supports communities that are organizing to build resilient neighborhoods, cities, and counties throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and relies daily on her background in psychology, education, and research. Donielle holds a B.A. in Psychology, with a minor in education, from Wellesley College; an MS.Ed in Psychological Practice from the University of Pennsylvania; and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy from Stanford University.
Donielle has worked as both a therapist and as a researcher. In seeking to understand conditions that cause different types of traumas showing up in the therapy office, Donielle studied community-based youth development programming in Philadelphia and the San Francisco Bay Area and school reform strategies implemented in New Jersey and the San Francisco Bay Area. Toward the same objective, she studied, for 11 years, the effectiveness of teacher education programs throughout the entire California State University system. She has also studied teacher education programs at private universities. Born and raised in East Palo Alto, CA, in the SF Bay Area, Donielle became active in community organizing after moving to Sacramento. There, she has worked on education and anti-violence campaigns, and as a literacy tutor and foster youth mentor. Donielle’s professional and community interests have always intersected, culminating in her current work focused on educating people about mental health: specifically, on the impact of ACEs, trauma, and resilience on overall well-being.
Alex Dobrenko

Alex Dobrenko has been with Tugg since it's inception in 2011. As Tugg's second employee, Alex helped develop the Tugg Theatrical model and has been working with promoters, filmmakers and partnering organizations to create theatrical events in theaters across the country. In mid-2012, Alex began to work with Tugg's top filmmakers on developing Tugg's Non-Theatrical & Educational service in response to promoter inquiries from universities, churches and community centers interested in bringing the films to their non-theatrical venues. Since then, Alex has helped develop the strategy and execution for the non-theatrical campaigns of films like Most Likely to Succeed, Paper Tigers & Resilience, Honor Flight, Blood Brother, and more.
ACEs Connection Staff

ACEs Connection is a social network of 33,000 members. The ACEs Connection network creates a safe place and a trusted source where members share information, explore resources and access tools that help them work together to create resilient families, systems and communities.
About 185 cities, counties, states and regional ACEs initiatives, as well as several nations, have community sites on ACEs Connection, with another 150 in development. ACEs Connection’s seven community facilitators support these communities as they grow and launch their ACEs initiatives (ACEs = adverse childhood experiences). They provide guidance and tools to gather local data, as well as help communities to make connections with other similar initiatives. ACEs Connection’s goal is to help communities educate their citizens about ACEs science, engage them in the local ACEs movement, activate all organizations in a community to implement trauma-informed and resilience-building practices based on ACEs science, and celebrate progress by telling stories and sharing accomplishments. Instead of continuing to support systems that traumatize already traumatized people, this approach will help heal and develop resilience in people, organizations, systems, and communities.
