Louisiana Partnership Features Congressman Troy Carter at 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting

What an Annual Meeting! We had a great presentation by Congressman Carter who spent some extra time with us when Congresswoman Letlow unexpectedly had to cancel right before the event. We then elected four new board members, Stalanda Butcher (Monroe), Raegan Carter (Baton Rouge), Danny Mintz (New Orleans) and Julio Galan (Lake Charles). After our 2021 Legislative Wrap-Up, Board Chair Ashley Shelton led an informative discussion about the upcoming redistricting efforts in Louisiana.

We also bid farewell to two stellar board members: Maureen Gallagher (Monroe) who leaves our board at the end of the year after two years as Board Secretary and Mike Tucker (Baton Rouge) who leaves our board at the end of the year after being the immediate past Board Chair. They have both given a great deal of time and expertise to the board over their six-year tenure, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
