ACE Study Publications/Bibliography

July, 2019.

Dear Colleague:  Below is a list of publications from the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study, plus pending articles.  We are involved in analysis in the prospective arm of the Study, which shows the biomedical, emotional, and economic consequences in medical care of abusive childhood experiences, on average a half-century earlier.  A book for general readership by journalist Jane Stevens is planned for release in 2019.  You may track future publications or read abstracts by using the free National Library of Medicine web site, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi and entering Anda or Felitti under ‘author name’.  Using Google Scholar also works very well, using <ACE Study>.   It is also productive to search for specific subjects related to ACEs by Googling for example: <ACE Study Addiction>.  Information of interest may be found at the web sites www.ACEsConnection.com and at the CDC web site: http://www.cdc.gov/ACE.  At the latter site, abstracts may be read by clicking on titles.

The most important, yet completely ignored, takeaway from the ACE Study is that many aces could be prevented with an entirely new kind of parenting education that reaches everyone, everywhere.

Sadly, no one wants to acknowledge this and act on it.

Absolutely!  My life's work - personally and professionally - has been about changing ACE in families.

Over the decades, tens of thousands of people have heard me speak or read my book. The Winning Family inspires and uplifts parents to change ACEs with Positive Childhood Experiences and new skills. The 35th Anniversary Edition has just been republished!
