We are involved in analysis in the prospective arm of the Study, which shows the biomedical, emotional, and economic consequences in medical care of abusive childhood experiences, on average a half-century earlier. A book for general readership by journalist Jane Stevens is planned for release in 2019. Books:
Several books focused on the material of the ACE Study have recently been published, most notably van der Kolk’s “The Body Keeps the Score”, Nakazawa’s “Childhood Disrupted”, Karr-Morse’s “Scared Sick”, and Gwinn’s “Cheering for the Children”. An excellent book about the ACE Study is “The Deepest Well” by Nadine Burke-Harris, MD. Another, anticipated book is nearing completion by journalist Jane Stevens.
