Who are we? What's our interest in ACEs? Part 46

Carol Duncan, Alicia St. Andrews, Catherine Bedford, and Heather Washburn joined ACEs Connection in June. Here's some info about each, and a link to their profile pages, where you can friend them, send a message, and see all their comments and activity on the network.

Carol Duncan, Dallas, TX -- Carol, a social worker (LCSW), is manager of the Child Abuse/Domestic Violence Prevention Office in the Dallas Independent School District. She notes that she does her best to help educate staff about the effects of trauma, but with only two people in her office to serve a district with almost 20,000 staff and 157,000 students, their impact is limited.

Alicia St. Andrews, San Francisco, CA -- Alicia co-ordinates the Adolescent Health Working Group in the San Francisco Department of Public Health.

Catherine Bedford, London, UK -- Catherine is a researcher for WAVE Trust UK (Worldwide Alternatives to ViolencE), which specializes in tackling the root causes of violence. WAVE Trust's aim is to reduce child abuse in the UK by 70% by 2030 using evidence-based analysis to inform recommendations and programmes.

Heather Washburn, Augusta, ME -- Heather is director of family services at the Children's Center in Augusta.
