Childhood adversity, such as child abuse and exposure to violence and poverty, can have negative long-term impacts on health and well being. In this webinar, panelists from kidsdata.org and the California Department of Public Health will discuss how to describe the burden of childhood adversity in your community, how to frame your message most effectively, and how to engage and mobilize your community to address the roots and effects of childhood adversity.

Panelists will also lead participants on a virtual tour of Kidsdata’s Childhood Adversity and Resilience data, research, and policy recommendations.

Thanks for that information, Robert. I will try to hunt the Data Center for Oakland (please send me any additional info or links to it).  I couldnt agree more that we need to connect initiatives so as not to recreate wheels that have already been created. :-)

I hope the Archives of the former Data Center of Oakland, Ca.-which was so committed to empowering youth in California and elsewhere- are retrievable at the remnants of the Data Center website-for whatever value they might serve to avail initiatives like this. The Data Center did such great work for decades, and I hope this new organizational endeavor goes well.
