We Need Resilience Strategies More Than Ever!

It's undisputed! The pandemic has increased the level of stress for millions. It has also illuminated the need for resilience strategies to help us cope with the effects of stress. Strategies we can use personally and strategies we can teach to others. Although we are united on the need for resilience to buffer the effects of stress, we are divided on what works. Many have suggested that building resilience is like strengthening a muscle. Unfortunately, it has not produced effective strategies as direct as that metaphor might be. Injury from a lack of understanding of muscle strengthening can be agonizing. However, the effects of a lack of knowledge of the brain in resilience building can be fatal.

CRI is committed to creating resilience strategies that utilize the best of emerging neuroscience. In our first mini-course, we shared the power of the predicting brain. In March, CRI will deliver four mini-courses that demonstrate ways to utilize knowledge of the predicting brain to create effective resilience strategies.

The first mini-course is ART of the Apology. This interpersonal strategy illustrates how to utilize apologies to deepen relationships. The second mini-course is The Restoration Mat. The Resilience Mat teaches participants multiple resilience approaches to produce powerful, culture-transforming strategies. The third mini-course is Restoring Love, Trust, and Safety (RLTS). This strategy mends broken relationships through a profound set of reflections designed to promote and preserve feelings of safety. Finally, the capstone of the mini-courses is Emotional Regulation Drills. This mini-course outlines a series of concrete strategies to recognize and respond to emotional dysregulation before burgeoning to more disruptive acts. When we learn, practice, and teach emotional regulation, we can minimize threats and increase safety.

Join us for one or more of our mini-courses. You will be happy you did!
