We Have a Chance to Build Better Child, Family Well-Being System

The current global pandemic and associated economic crisis is shining a spotlight on the stresses and resiliency of families and some of the fundamental flaws in the U.S. child welfare system. Many of these have been obvious to child welfare leaders and professionals for decades but change doesn’t come easy to this reactive, antiquated system.

Now, as we struggle through circumstances and challenges of unprecedented proportions, our systems and leaders must be nimble and creative in ensuring that children and families have the resources, services and supports they need.

We have an opportunity as we wade through uncharted territory together to create a new child and family well-being system for the 21st century that is preventative, proactive and works to keep families strong before harm occurs.

People need to stand up, become aware and resist. If we don’t, the next thing we know, our kids will be recklessly taken away. None of these systems should be trusted. There is too much double speak going on.  Public Health participates In Big Brother Tracking.  I can’t  trust a “public health” system that allowed 1/3 of the US economy to be destroyed over a virus with a case fatality rate of 0.26 percent and continues to insist on “control” methods that destroy the social components of humanity like face masks and social distancing.  Brain science and developmental social neuroscience makes very clear how aversive these things are to child development, plus these organizations have ignored the essentials of child development since the 1960’s, including not educating doctors.  #ThinkDevelopmentally. How can anyone trust the hypocrisy of a “public health” system that promotes protests but won’t allow spirituality or funerals or weddings, everything that makes a community vibrant and  healthy?  We have betrayed kids and families.  We don’t know anything about this tech which could include nanotechnology, brain-computer interface technology etc.  No matter how bad it gets, the best chance that kids as a whole have is with their parents, not some government organization with poor oversight.  People, don’t let them take your kids.
