Video for law enforcement focuses on using trauma-informed approach for adults experiencing sexual assault

The Michigan Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention and Treatment Board and the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan’s Violence Against Women Project developed a new in-service/roll-call training video for law enforcement called Adult Sexual Assault: A Trauma Informed Approach

This video provides an overview of how trauma impacts victims and how law enforcement first responders can implement a trauma-informed response and approach to sexual assault survivors. It features Dr. Rebecca Campbell and law enforcement professionals from across Michigan.

Attached is a short facilitator’s guide for the training video. The film has two parts that allow it to be viewed in its entirety at an in-service training (22 minutes) or in separate roll-call trainings (13 minutes and 9 minutes).
