Unburdened, my story

I have just taken a three year long journey to process all my childhood trauma and pain. It started out as a way to lose weight, which I think is a problem for a lot of us who suffered trauma.I had my biggest success by being open to hearing what my mind and body were trying to tell me and with the use of regressive hypnotherapy to heal  my past.I think all my research and insight that I've learned could be a big benefit to many others. I'd like to share it with those interested in reading. Contact me at pennypayton@gmail.com if you'd like. Thanks.

Thank you for the encouragement. I shared the intro and see that it's in the email blast this morning! Not sure where to go from here but hopefully there is more interest.

I agree with Leisa,

And in another post you asked about finding a publisher. Have you done the traditional book proposal thing, sent out articles, built a "platform" and all that? Or, are you looking to self-publish? These days authors really can go in so many different directions. It easier than ever to publish. It's more difficult to get paid or an advance or get someone to edit or do publicity.

I can share thoughts and experiences but only as they relate to articles, book proposal "old school" style. I got an agent for a book about the adoption proposal (my daughter was born in China). But, I decided to put it on hold. It was taking too much time and she was a toddler. "I'm a feminist - she's not," I kept thinking when she didn't want to go with her Dad when I was going to write. So, I held off. She was only young once. It was a blessing. By the time she was a few years older it was clear how private her nature (not like me) and that even though I was writing about being an adoptive mother, it was still too much of her life for me to share.

So, I share things about her changing names and details and now that she is older only with permission.

I'm glad for the way it all turned out.

Back to YOU and YOUR book. I'd love to read more about your journey so if you have a blog or share more here, etc. I'd certainly be interested.

Cissy
