To curb conflict, a Colorado high school replaces punishment with conversation

This is a PBS NewsHour segment on the successful use of “restorative justice” at Hinkley High School in Aurora, Colorado.  It shows how the program works from the perspective of school administrators, students, parents, police, and foundation officials.  The method is being shared across the state and seen as a constructive alternative to “zero tolerance” that was eliminated in the state in 2012.
