In this report, the CEP, in partnership with the Equity Research Action Coalition at UNC Chapel Hill and the Center on the Ecology of Early Development at Boston University, outline ten key changes to the Head Start Act that can boost the Head Start model for the next generation of children and families.

For more than 60 years, Head Start has been a comprehensive model of early childhood development for children and families. It was most recently reauthorized in 2007, 15 years ago. New data and research, a shifting policy landscape, and evolving community and family needs warrant an update to the program that will expand its reach, improve its quality, and advance equity. This brief explores 10 changes to the Head Start Act that can boost the Head Start model for the next generation of children and families.

Are You familiar with any evidence at Head Start that may have originated at the time of the Iroquois constitution (see 1988 U.S. Congressional Resolution #331-noting the role of the Iroquois 'constitution in the development of our U.S. constitution-with it's provision for "Generational Review" (or 'Trans-Generational')  which began in 1095-1150 A.D. (when they reached 'Consensus' ? ?) ... Iroquois Women had the Rights to: Assert, Debate, VOTE, and Declare War at that time-reportedly. I've been perusing "The Original Vermonters: Native Inhabitants Past and Present"-Dewey Decimal Code 970.1 - but haven't found any suitable commentary yet. I was going to check the Native American Studies Center at Dartmouth College, but have yet to make it there,

I just made it back from the Native American Studies Center at 5:45 pm---it was locked  when I got there--but at least I now know where to find it-hopefully1
