The leaders of tomorrow are in school right now. Imagine the possibilities that could exist if they were provided with a foundation of skills that would not only serve them well in their studies, but also stick with them as they enter the workforce.

This foundation of skills can be developed via after school education programs. While these programs are often tied to one skill such as math or writing, in reality kids are learning more than just algebra or grammar. They’re learning problem solving and critical reasoning skills, and if it’s a group program, collaboration skills too.

According to Kim Langen, CEO and Founder of Spirit of Math, “we have to ensure our future leaders are good thinkers, and that they have a foundation in math, technology, and are constantly reading and learning.” Langen is no stranger to education. She has been running innovative math education programs since 1995, designed to help high-performing students deepen their understanding of math in a dynamic classroom setting.
