Just listened to the episode last night. A chord in me was struck when he talked about self care and how avoiding self care leaves those around us burdened with the fallout.  In the realm of helpers/caregivers, we must help ourselves before we can offer help to others. Great reminder!

That is one of the reasons I find working with a therapy dog so therapeutic for myself as well as the kiddos Sammie (our labradoodle) is helping. Self-care in the midst of helping others. Beautifully healing. Thanks for listening to the show and offering feedback!
