Suicide victim’s parents starting anti-bullying task force

The parents of Celeste Wills are still mourning after their sixth grade daughter committed suicide.

The Beaufort County School’s anti-bullying slogan is “see something, say something”. But, her parents want to add an extra step – “do something”.

So they’re creating a task force to make sure this won’t happen again. Their mission is to save lives.

“A lot of those kids are keeping things private and not discussing it, and they don’t know where to turn,” Clarissa Wills said.

Both Dale and Clarissa Wills are taking action to prevent any more school tragedies. Their 12-year-old daughter killed herself back in April. They later found out she was bullied.

“We want to give these kids some place to go, someone to call, so they know they have somebody that will stand by them. They’re not alone,” said Wills.

They’re teaming up with South Carolina representatives to create an anti-bullying task force. They have many ideas, starting with an anti-bullying and suicide prevention app for school iPads.
