Resilience Activities Planned for October [Union-Bulletin.com]

CRI

The city of Walla Walla has proclaimed October as Children’s Resilience Month.

In October, the Children’s Resilience Initiative will spread community awareness of adverse childhood experiences, and about the agency’s efforts to build a stronger, more resilient community. CRI will be at the Downtown Farmers Market every Saturday in the month with resources and resilience building tips; will present at the Rotary Club; will host family fun nights at local elementary schools; and will appear on “Walla Walla Live” on KUJ.
CRI will also bring trauma expert Avis Smith, Head Start program director, to Walla Walla on Oct. 9 for training with community providers.
