Progress on Child Abuse, but Still a Need for Change

"Over the last few years, much has changed as a result of the efforts of therapists and reporters. Much has yet to change. Parents and administrators at schools, camps, community centers, Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups, along with a host of other child-oriented programs, must be vigilant against the scourge of molesting and abuse.       

"They would do well to conduct proper background checks of employees, to encourage their children to report any indication of abuse and to advocate for children rather than for the well-being of their particular organization.       

"The authorities would also go a long way to resolve the problem if they prosecuted abusers and those who protect them...."
