"While most of us cannot put the offenders behind bars ourselves, there are steps we can take to fight these crimes against children.
"Cory Rosepiler, U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service special agent, said an important aspect of fighting sexual assault and abuse of children is to educate both parents and children on what to look out for and what physical interactions are appropriate and inappropriate.
"One method of teaching younger children what physical contact is appropriate is the method known as “good touch, bad touch, private touch,” Rosepiler said....
“Our Text-a-Tip program is there and it’s anonymous,” Rosepiler said. “We as the investigators don’t even know who that person is.”...
