April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Sadly, the likelihood that you or someone you know has been affected by child abuse or neglect is very high. This is a pandemic that affects individuals long into adulthood and has been proven to be directly linked to diseases, disorders, and cancers. The National Foundation to End Child Abuse and Neglect (EndCAN) works tirelessly to move the needle in ending abuse and neglect in OUR lifetime.

EndCAN is unique because it takes a multi-disciplinary approach to end child abuse and neglect. The foundation brings together experts from diverse fields, including psychology, social work, law enforcement, education, and healthcare. This approach ensures that every aspect of child abuse prevention and intervention is addressed, from identifying and reporting child abuse, to providing support and resources to survivors and their families. This April, EndCAN is looking for Prevention Partners to help raise awareness and funds to support local- and national-based organizations and research.

Help us in breaking the silence this April by participating in our Pinwheels for Prevention campaign. EndCAN will provide pinwheels (the symbol for abuse prevention) for the suggested donation of $20 per pinwheel, and 100% of the funds raised will go toward the mission of ending child abuse and neglect. Partners are encouraged to place these pinwheels in their yard to show support for this cause.
