  • Phil Spector, lionized producer of 1960s pop and convicted murderer, dies
  • Phil Spector was born Harvey Philip Spector in the South Bronx, on 26 December 1939
  • PhilSpector's childhood was blighted by the sudden and unexplained suicide of his father when he was 10 years old. (+1 Point for a depressed parent +1 for a dead parent = 2 ACEs)
  • Both pampered and bullied by an over-possessive mother; he was small and bullied in school. As a child, he suffered from asthma and diabetes, Spector spent an inordinate amount of his teens in his bedroom (+1 Point for EMOTIONAL NEGLECT +1 Point for PHYSICAL NEGLECT 1 Point for Emotional ABUSE = 3 ACEs)
  • Additional traumas not included in original ACE study: picked on at school, and suffered from asthma and diabetes. Spector spent an inordinate amount of his teens in his bedroom listening to the raw new music played late at night on the radio.

  1. Spector charged with murder
  2. Spector abused substances, vicious misogyny, mood swings, impulsivity and frequent bouts of rage increased, based on reports
