“Parents Like Us” is a local effort that recognizes the great things parents in our community do every day. We understand that no parent is “perfect” - everyone has successes to celebrate and mistakes to learn from. Raising kids in today’s world can be tough and no parent should have to go it alone.
What We Do
The“Parents Like Us” website and outreach campaign:
- Shares local stories of family strength and resilience.
- Helps parents laugh (instead of cry) and have fun with parenting quizzes or contests.
- Offers practical information on children’s health and development.
- Shares info on free community events where parents can meet other families.
- Shares survey results that tell how most local families view parenting issues.
- Offers information about local child-family programs.
- Involves parents in making our community an even better place for families.
