Advancing Parenting will be in the nonprofit space at the Camarillo, CA Farmers’ Market on Saturday, August12th. As always I will be giving away our parenting norms bumper stickers.
Here’s why you should put one on your vehicle. Advancing Parenting believes there has been a general decline in the quality of parenting and it’s having a devastating impact on children, families, and communities. Reversing this decline must include parenting education. Not conventional parenting education, but an entirely new kind that reaches everyone, everywhere. Bumper stickers do this very effectively because everyone gets to participate and just one will be read thousands of times!
And people love them! At stoplights drivers and passengers point, smile, and nod. Conversations begin and often a phone is used to take a photo of the bumper sticker right at the stoplight! Presumably they are being shared on social media. It's gratifying to watch in your rearview mirror.
