My heart and soul have been enveloped by the ACEs world.
I've been writing books for a decade because at a teacher's conference for my 3rd grade son, the teacher said: "In 22 years of teaching, I've never had a child like your son, Jared. He watches over the whole class with a spirit that says, 'Shouldn't we all be watching over each other?'
"If you could write down what you have said and done to make him and his 1st grade brother act that way...it would be the teacher's best friend. Because most parents come to conferences and say why aren't you doing more for my child here at school." Sad...but true, and everyone knows it is getting worse.
As we move the trauma-based learning environment into our schools, I volunteer a song I wrote tonight as I was inspired by Jamie Redford's effort with Paper Tigers. You are welcome to use it any way you want as my gift to you. I would love to see choirs sing it at school to focus attention on the ACEs issue for all to hear...

it starts in the pediatric world
