Nine CA Central Valley school districts receive $1.1 million for positive school discipline programs

The programs include restorative justice, Communities That Care, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.

“School districts receiving funding today are at the forefront of a national movement to rethink our approach to school discipline. They recognize that harsh, unforgiving approaches are not helping our students succeed, and they are determined to find a better way. The California Endowment looks forward to supporting their efforts to keep children on track for future success, and spreading their accomplishments throughout California,” said Robert K. Ross, M.D., president and CEO of The California Endowment.
