I'm excited to announce our newest ACEs Connection geographic community for my region, the Midwest & TN: Douglas County (WI) Fostering Futures.
This community is the collaborative effort of community members with a mission to support and advance trauma informed principles by enhancing efforts toward community-wide competency in trauma informed practices that build individual and community resilience.
The site managers are Amanda Lindquist & Tracy Henegar.
Amanda Lindquist is a teacher at Superior Middle School located in Superior, WI. She holds a MAEd from Concordia University-St. Paul and a BS in Education from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She is Trauma-Informed Care certified through the Community Resilience Initiative. She is also a wife, mother of two boys, philanthropist, a Herb Kohl Award recipient and mentor with the Mentor Superior program. Amanda is passionate about making a difference in her community!
Tracy Henegar is a Human Development & Relationships Educator for the University of Wisconsin-Cooperative Extension and an Outreach Specialist for the University of Wisconsin-Superior Center for Continuing Education. Tracy was a member of the original Core Group for the Douglas County Fostering Futures Initiative state pilot, which began in 2013. She remains an active member of the Core Group and is a regional Wisconsin ACE Interface Master Trainer. Having served children and families throughout Douglas County for nearly 20 years, Tracy is committed to make Superior/Douglas County, WI a better place to live through direct support, education and advocacy. When not serving the community through work or volunteer ministry, you can find Tracy enjoying the outdoors with her family.
