New ACEs and Prevention Resources in Iowa

Prevent Child Abuse Iowa, in partnership with the Iowa Department of Public Health and several other organizations, has developed a couple of new resources to support Iowa professionals in their work around ACEs and child abuse prevention:

Learning modules: Now available are two online learning modules – The ACE Study: Its Impact and Our Opportunity and A Child Abuse Prevention Response to ACEs.  The courses are free, open to the public (though registration is required), and feature national information along with Iowa-specific data and testimonials. Learners can enter and exit the courses at any time and will receive a certificate of completion at the end. Learn more about the project and take the courses here.

ACEs research: Two newly released briefs, developed with national research firm Hornby Zeller Associates, summarize research on the neurobiology of stress and resiliency. Find the briefs here.

We hope these two resources help with your work!
