My Child and I - Attachment for Life

The Best Start Resource Centre has produced a booklet for parents of children 0-3, to help them understand the principles of attachment and learn ways to promote it. Activities are suggested for each age group.

You can download the booklet for free in many languages at http://beststart.org/resources/hlthy_chld_dev/index.html. Paper copies can be ordered at cost (English and French).

You can also ask for adaptation rights at a low cost and insert your own logo and contact information. Best Start is a program of Health Nexus, a not-for-profit organization based in Ontario, Canada.

We have done a number of resources for parents, including a recent website on brain development:

www.HealthyBabyHealthyBrain.ca, based on attachment principles.

Hi Shelley. We actually produced the booklet a few years back and updated it recently. Some of the service providers (especially French-speaking ones, as a matter of fact) were saying "How can I explain to my parents what attachment is?". It seemed like something some parents "got it" and others didn't... This booklet gives specific strategies to work on it...

Regarding posting to Facebook, I really have no idea why it would not work. You could try linking directly to the PDF perhaps? http://beststart.org/resources/hlthy_chld_dev/parent_attachment/parent_attachment_eng_Oct2012.pdf

Louise, this booklet looks fantastic!  Trying to share it on Smile At Your Baby!'s FB page, but I keep getting a message that the following message can not be posted to this timeline:

(Wonderful FREE e-book for new and soon-to-be parents! Check it out! (Scroll down to "My Child and I - Attachment for Life)
