Santa Barbara, California, Newton, Connecticut, Aurora Colorado; These cities have become synonymous with tragedy and heartbreak, as have over 100 other cities around the Unites States since 2009.

Our country now endurees an average of two mass shootings per month, the highest for any developed country in the world. The problems of mental illness and gun control have been prominently linked due to these events. Some of the shooters showed signs of mental health problems and almost half of them ended up killing themselves. Yet 75 percent of these shooters were able to obtain their guns legally.
