May Meeting Recap

May 9th, 2023: Rhiannon Chavis-Wanson helped show off some data sources that can be very helpful to many of our partners as we look for resources, define need statements, write grants, and look at Robeson County compared to the state and nation.

The recording for this meeting can be found here and you will need the passcode below to access it: ROAR!2023

Here are the slides and a list of some of the data sources that were shared in the meeting for your reference.

2023 Commitments to ROAR - We are still collecting commitment sheets!!!

Mission:

To educate, connect and empower the people of Robeson County by increasing awareness and understanding of Adverse Childhood and Community Experiences and teaching skills for building resilience.

Vision:

That every person in Robeson County will have the tools they need to recognize, process and overcome their own adversities and that individual, familial and community resilience will thrive.

EVERY stakeholder is encouraged and invited to COMPLETE the 2023 Commitments Document attached below. This will help the steering committee begin to identify how and when we can best coordinate our grassroots efforts to spread resilience education and awareness everywhere. Copies will be available in the room or can be downloaded with the link below.

THANK YOU for your continued support for our growing community collaboration to grow RESILIENCE in Robeson County by increasing education and awareness about ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and the Protective Factors that we can foster within our community to help buffer the negative potential impacts.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate hybrid meetings. Registration for next week's meeting will help us prepare for the number to have on the zoom and in the room.
