Long Beach nonprofit, The Children’s Clinic, receives $1-million grant

A Long Beach nonprofit that provides health care services to low-income children and their families is receiving praise for a new initiative that many hope will change the approach to pediatric and early childhood services.

The initiative by The Children’s Clinic aims to identify and address the effects of toxic stress and chronic exposure to violence by reaching out to 300 pregnant women and 4,900 children from 0-3 years old.
