2023 COMMITMENTS TO ROAR

EVERY stakeholder is encouraged and invited to COMPLETE the 2023 Commitments Document. This will help the steering committee begin to identify how and when we can best coordinate our grassroots efforts to spread resilience education and awareness everywhere.

Mission: To educate, connect and empower the people of Robeson County by increasing awareness and understanding of Adverse Childhood and Community Experiences and teaching skills for building resilience.

Vision: That every person in Robeson County will have the tools they need to recognize, process and overcome their own adversities and that individual, familial and community resilience will thrive.

REVIEW AND EDIT THE ENVIRONMENTAL SCANROAR Environmental Scan

We are asking all of our stakeholders and partners to review and make suggestions and edits to the Environmental Scan document that was first created in Fall of 2021 as an appendix to the Community Prevention Action Plan. We are very aware that some organizations and programs are either not listed or need to be updated. Please take some time to review this and email or call Stacie Kinlaw to submit updates: skinlaw@rcpartnership4children.org or (910) 738-6767 ext 290

The document is arranged by the 5 Protective Factors that help buffer the negative impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences; you may find that an organization or activity fits under multiple factors.

Click HERE to see the five protective factors and they are listed below:

  1. Social & Emotional Competence of Children
  2. Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development
  3. Social Connections
  4. Parental Resilience
  5. Concrete Support in Times of Need
