The Ballad Health ETSU Strong BRAIN Institute (SBI) seeks a junior-level researcher interested in conducting innovative multidisciplinary research on the prevention and mitigation of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), broadly defined. The Research Assistant Professor is a nontenure-track and nonconvertible faculty position. The initial appointment of this position is for one year and is expected to be renewable for at least three more years, depending on the availability of continued funding.
The SBI is the innovation of the ETSU “BRAIN Trust,” a talented and dedicated group of researchers comprising more than a dozen interdisciplinary faculty across a large number of ETSU colleges and departments. The SBI, currently in its second year of existence, is made possible by a generous five-year gift from Ballad Health Systems. The selected candidate will be required to work on the campus of East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee.
