Human Brain Project

These are amazing times, no doubt. It's hard with adults who have been so damaged. I think the only viable solution is a major culture shift. State-siders have a lot of problems culturally and these engrained traits are contributing to our social ills. Prevention is the ultimate solution. I don't think we will find a pharmaceutical solution; we've tried that and we've only headed south. I, also, don't think brain implants are the way to go. I'm hoping the Social Ecological Model (SEM) the CDC is promoting is the direction we take. I believe we have to work with Mother Nature and not against her. But that's just my opinion. :)

I am so excited to see all this brain work being done .. I for years would sit with people who had committed some pretty brutal crimes and just wish that there was a way we could get in their heads and understand what made them go wrong and what we can do to "fix" them other than by throwing them in a prison and warehousing them .. maybe one day soon we will be able to figure it out ..
