How would mental-health screening for kids at school work?

"No state in this country and only one country in the world – Chile — systematically screens all of its children for mental health in schools....

"The tools are out there. They can be cheap – sometimes free – and easy to use.

"These screens have been tested in doctors’ offices, and even schools aren’t without practice using them.

"In Palm Beach County, one program in 12 elementary schools has earned high marks for screening some 2,800 kindergartners and first graders and helping about 650 of them each year...."
