Have we thought about boys and masculinity

You guys do so much and I thank you.  Brenda, I hope your friend does join and we can learn about his experience and books.   Jeff...what you do to help foster parents and workers help stop boys from taking their own life...well, nothing could matter more.  Thanks.

Thankx Donna for posting this research/study info...great stuff for what I'm preparing for...traumatized foster youth presenting as vulnerable to suicide...especially boys who use suicide as a way to act out their anger in a violent manifestation onto themselves.

This is definitely an UNTAPPED area where there are huge gaps in society's approach to men, boys, masculinity, their traumas and needs. I have a friend who has written two great books on exploring his own experience with childhood trauma and I am encouraging him to join the acesconnection community to spearhead that topic. He's great at exploring, explaining, and knowing this subject.
