Governor Signs Child Abuse Prevention Bill - Montana

"The law will now require state child protection agencies to quickly report any serious child abuse to local law enforcement.

"So many people are working to keep kids safe. But they are not always working together. So what this does is really provide the opportunity for law enforcement to have the information to make the decisions to actually get in and help keep kids safe," says Bullock.

"According to sponsor of the bill, Representative Margie MacDonald, the law goes into effect September 30th."
