Next month, communities across the nation will once again estimate the number of people experiencing homelessness, in the Department of Housing and Urban Development's annual point-in-time count. If yours is one of them, you may be looking for resources to help you include young people in your count.

First off, HUD has launched a new app that can be used for the count. The 2015 PIT Mobile App can be downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store. You can get an overview on the HUD Exchange website.

We've written before about efforts to improve the counting of homeless teens and young adults. We Count California!, a project of The California Homeless Youth Project recently shared nine tips for youth point-in-time counts on the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness blog. The National Alliance to End Homelessness also hosted a webinar about California's efforts.
