I am from Nairobi Kenya where I started Trauma Informed Schools Kenya with an aim of teaching Childhood trauma using science of ACEs.

This a new approach and many schools in Kenya are struggling with mental health.

My biggest challenge is funding so as to implement what I have in mind. Is there a way as a member of PACEs would qualify? Trauma Informed Schools Kenya is registered non profit making platform for advocating mental health in school. Tweeter handle @traumasch_ke

Wish the grants too would be extended to outside America to places like developing world, it would benefit alot.

Hi Becky,

Great to hear that you are doing ACEs programming in Kenya! I think we all can relate to the challenges of finding funding, which is why I posted this. I don't have any sway with regard to these funds because they're from another organization. I just posted the information because I thought others would like to know about the opportunity.

Unfortunately, these particular grants are only for programs in California. So even other PACEs partners in the US do not qualify, let alone partners in other countries.

I'll definitely post any other funding sources I hear about. Hopefully there will be something your work will be eligible for in the future. Good luck!
