"Every family has a different set of circumstances that leads them to homelessness and different needs must be taken into consideration when it comes to solving homelessness, said Lisa Hamilton, executive director of the Volusia/Flagler County Coalition for the Homeless.
“Becoming homeless is really a trauma,” Hamilton said. “It’s a mental health trauma. You really have to recover and bounce back. Some people can do that better than others. It’s a very complex problem.”
