Fantastic opportunity: Brain Builders Lab

The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) has launched an initiative to support those who are Brain Story certified in moving their knowledge into action. Since launching the Brain Story Certification course in 2016 over 17,000 Canadians have enrolled, 1,500 from the US and 1,500 internationally, that's over 20,000 people enrolled!

To this end, CCSA is organizing a 2-day event in Ottawa in March 2019: the “Brain Builders Lab”. This event will bring together Brain Story alumni to exchange ideas, engage with experts, and craft project plans to spread and apply Brain Story knowledge in their communities. CCSA will cover room and board for the event, but attendees are responsible for their own travel to Ottawa.

In order to qualify to participate in this event, you must complete the Brain Story certification by March. You must sign up (if you haven't already) via a special link set up by CCSA (follow the link at the bottom of this blog post.)

Benefits of attending the event include:

  • Access to scientific and practical expertise
  •  A chance to engage and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals from across the country and sectors
  • Feedback on project plans from national leaders and people with lived experience
  •  Implementation support from CCSA
  • A chance to create innovative, trauma-informed practices with lasting impact.

You must contact CCSA to indicate your interest in participating in this event within 7 days.
