Echo Upcoming Trauma-Informed Professional Development Trainings

Parenting is one of the most creative and exhausting jobs you’ll ever have. Discover how to communicate in ways that deepen your relationship with your child and begin to model the skills that are proven to help your child succeed at school, have more rewarding relationships and enjoy a longer, healthier life.

This training combines physical practice with the latest science on trauma and recovery. You will learn basic yoga and mindfulness techniques to practice in any environment – from the classroom to the office – to bring balance and peace to the mind and body. These tools provide a foundation for a practice that can alleviate and even resolve some of the common impacts of trauma, such as depression, anxiety and health issues, as well as build resilience to toxic stress. You do not need to have a yoga practice to benefit from this training!

Did you know that childhood experiences can affect your physical health as an adult? That toxic stress makes us more sensitive to things like sound? Or that it affects learning and memory? That safe, stable nurturing relationships can heal trauma? Join us for this fascinating review of all that current science is telling us about the number one health issue of our time.

This training brings you a unique opportunity to learn about a trauma and resiliency focused approach to early childhood education. Echo Lead Trainer, Tracy Gray, has worked in therapeutic preschools in the New York school system and will be sharing her knowledge and skills as a trauma-focused mental health specialist and seasoned preschool teacher. This special workshop offers critical information about the brain, trauma, and strategies to promote social and emotional growth.

Seeking Safety is an evidence-based program to help trauma survivors master the skills needed to reestablish basic physical and emotional safety. Originally developed to help those who are dealing with trauma and substance abuse, the techniques and information learned during this training can help anyone in need of stabilization after experiencing trauma, and improve their coping skills.

Echo is partnering with Andi Fetzner of Origins to bring you a one-day training on a trauma and resiliency focused approach to working with people who experience the symptoms of addiction. Learn with us about the inextricable link between trauma and addiction.

Join us to find out what we are learning about the power of the human body and spirit to recover from trauma and generate resilience in our children. Service professionals will learn how trauma and resilience is transmitted across generations and how people can learn not only to be resilient but to also thrive despite trauma histories.

This is a chance for you to deepen your knowledge about trauma, resilience and post-traumatic growth. We will examine the impact of toxic stress on child development and dive deeper into the science behind how the brain and body respond to trauma. You will also have an opportunity learn about how to create the conditions that foster resilience and post-traumatic growth.
