City Attorney Launches School Safety Pilot Program [PostPeriodical.com]

A San Fernando Valley Middle School will participate in a pilot program aimed at reducing health and safety hazards near school campuses.
Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer announced the new comprehensive school safety program Monday at Vista Middle School on Roscoe Boulevard. The announcement comes shortly after the City Attorney’s Office charged two companies with discharging pollutants near the Panorama City middle school.
Vista Middle School joins Barack Obama Global Preparatory Middle School in South Los Angeles, Joseph Le Conte Middle School in West Los Angeles and John H. Liechty Middle School in the MacArthur Park/Westlake area in the pilot program.
