I am new to this community but I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Connie Davis, and I am the founder of Kairos Digital Commerce Consulting. I am a widow, mother of three, and grandmother, and serve on the board of NPEIV. I am also a love & authenticity practitioner, a member of the St Pete Chamber of Commerce, a course creator for Women in Blockchain Talks, and a volunteer on the Presidents Advisory Council of Paytech Women because I believe that money is at the center of every community, whether thriving or not.
After more than 25 years of building banking and payment software and technology for financial institutions all across the country, I have deep knowledge of the systems. And now, as a trauma-informed individual, I am convinced that money is at the center of everything we strive to create, exchange, and share with one another. It is also at the center of trauma. I believe that financial stress is rippling across our communities, and we cannot build healing-centered communities without asking our banks, credit unions, and policy regulators for support. As business owners, we are what empower cities to thrive and for commerce to occur. Without us, there would be no payments, and no need for half of the commercial products and services in the world to exist.
As a consultant, I am tackling an extremely tough challenge—the Banking and Payments industry. As I have learned from many trauma-informed researchers, experts, and direct service providers like you, my perspective on money, finance, financial inclusion and banking products, fintech, and the systems that govern the money in our country and around the world has forever changed.

What we Do: As heart-centered individuals, we are data and technology experts who consult with banking and payment industry stakeholders in order to inspire and collaborate with them to build desperately-needed restorative banking products and services.
When I chose this mission, I knew I would be swimming upstream. What I underestimated were the barriers I would face with securing meetings with bankers, credit unions, and technology companies to even have a discussion.
They care about people, but they care about profit and Return on Assets more.

Our Heart-Based Product Incubation Laboratory offers Financial Institutions the opportunity to:
- Learn what it means to become trauma-informed.
- Improve their understanding of aggregate trauma-impacted community needs
- modify standard financial services and lending programs to serve the unique market sector of trauma-impacted populations.
- Enhance CRA efforts in order to partner with local organizations to offer community services, invest in neighborhood revitalization, and support organizations already addressing the credit needs of LMI communities.

Before profit and technology, you must have a strong dedication, humility, compassion, and passion for the people your business aims to serve.
