I wanted to add a little more.  At 28 minutes in the audio... The monastics sing and invoke Avalokiteshvara to help relieve the suffering in ourselves and in the world.  This video / audio I have listened to over a 100 x's sometimes I think it is important to understanding there is suffering in us..

 

But I believe when Thay always invokes the Budda "The Budda says we cannot grow lotus flowers in the marble, we must grow them in the mud".  It is really a beautiful dharma talk.

 

I hope you and anyone else who stumbles upon it enjoys it.

It worries me that no one has commented on this before me. I just wrote about the "elephants in the room".  I am starting to wonder if Aces is somehow kind of a secretly athiest-unfriendly group. I searched for the word "athiest" on acesconnection.com and found only a couple results, yet the faith based group in Aces is currently the fifth largest group according to the number of members. I don't think people of "faith" know, or care much, how outnumbered those of of who have "faith" in nature, science and children, not religion, feel.

btw does anyone know how I can reach Chris? It says he has never signed in to the new system and he is no longer a volunteer at Aces...
