See my recent paper in Pharmacology, Biology and Behavior published in September (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.pbb.2021.173268) on "The importance of child abuse and neglect in adult medicine." This paper extensively reviews the relation of many common adult physical illnesses to a past history of child abuse or neglect trauma. (See attached)
