Addressing childhood trauma will take teamwork, community leaders say - Montana

"More than two dozen Helena community leaders gathered on Thursday to look for ways they can work together to address an array of problems linked to childhood trauma.

"The community wide meeting led by Youth Connections served as an exercise in collaboration as participants identified holes in current services and established mutual goals for improving them.

"Held in the Knights of Columbus Hall, the session included 28 participants from a number of agencies, including Head Start, Carroll College, Helena Indian Alliance, Helena police and the county health department. A representative from Sen. Jon Tester’s office and state Sen. Mary Caferro also attended...."
