Acting on Trauma

Sarah Ann Masse is one half of the incredibly talented “We Are Thomasse" duo. She is also one of the women who came forward about Harvey Weinstein. Sarah and her husband, Nick Afka Thomas, created a holiday video about consent that has been causing an Internet stir.

"I've been using my comedy as a way to address issues that I am passionate about for the past few years, but trying to tackle sexual assault, rape culture, and victim-blaming head on felt more difficult and much more personal." See more Buzzfeed coverage here.

Echo Executive Director, Louise Godbold, and Sarah met as a result of both being caught up in the Harvey Weinstein scandal. They discovered they both share a passion for educating people about trauma.

Echo is delighted that Sarah and Nick are attending the Working with Childhood Trauma training on February 6 (facilitated by Louise) to learn more about the relationship between childhood toxic stress and later life trauma. As a favor to Echo, We Are Thomasse are performing a skit especially created for the training, which we will be filming for later release.

Sign up today for this special version of our Working with Childhood Trauma training. If you’ve been meaning to come, this is the one to catch!
