ACES Prominent in 2014 Encyclopedia of Health Communication

My article -- “Abuse: Child and Spousal", (which I had subtitled "Reframing Childhood Abuse and Intimate Partner Violence as Public Health Crises") -- appears as page one in Volume 1 of the three volume Encyclopedia of Health Communication (2014), Sage Publications. I was thrilled to be asked to write it, and I could not help but take advantage of the opportunity to get what may be the first entry of ACEs in this prestigious publication.

The Encyclopedia of Health Communication, edited by Teresa L. Thompson, features nearly 600 commissioned original articles in a three-volume set “including such topics as theories and research traditions; evaluation and assessment; cultural complexities; high risk and special populations; message design and campaigns; provider/patient interaction issues; media issues; and more.”

The Encyclopedia of Health Communication is available in both print and online versions and is a staple of libraries, researchers and practitioners looking for comprehensive information on research, theory and applied health communication issues.
