Washington Post Publishes ACEs Op-Ed by ASTHO Staffer
The Washington Post has published an editorial article by ASTHO Senior Editor of Communications and Social Media Virgie Townsend. In the op-ed, Townsend discusses growing up with domestic violence, how those adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) affected her health and academics, data on the impacts of ACEs, and the need for better prevention and intervention services to mitigate repercussions from ACEs.
