2018 Conference in NM - Trauma, ACES, and Healing. Will you join us?

Call for Input, Submissions, Stories, and Wisdom: If you care about trauma, ACES, strengths, and healing our 2018 Conference is just for you! This year, the National Association of Social Workers, is proud to present our 2018 Conference Theme, "Stress, Strengths, and the Social Environment."

With the latest science and practice around trauma (interpersonal and historical), ACES, neglect, violence, epigenetics, and culture informing us we know that trauma hurts but that healing IS possible IF we work together. It is our mission and calling to work on behalf of others to empower, support, and uplift them through their darkest times and to educate the community about the power of ACES/trauma informed work. If you are a social worker, an allied professional, parent, survivor, or community partner please consider submitting an abstract (due Aug 21st) to help us learn and grow. Submission details and forms can be found  here.

If you want to attend the conference please check our website at the end of September for information or our trauma informed Facebook page which is updated daily. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to our Executive Director, Elisa Kawam at ekawam.naswnm@gmail.com.

People matter and together we can build a greater tomorrow.
