I'm looking for recommendations for a keynote speaker for a Safe Schools Summit in August. Someone who can talk to the challenges, opportunities, tools discussed, continuing engagement opportunities. The audience will be primarily K-12 educators but will also have some mental health professionals, law enforcement, schools safety teams, school nurses, and emergency and disaster preparedness coordinators. Very important it is someone who has a positive lecture as it will be closing speaker so want to leave audience motivated especially given this can be a heavy topic. I should note most participants will be from rural schools/small towns so understanding challenges of small/remote schools a huge bonus.

Hi Brenda, check out our Speakers Bureau https://acesconnection.shinyapps.io/speakers/. Will the speakers be paid or unpaid?
@Lara Kain Thank you! The speaker will be paid.
Hi Brenda,
I'd be happy to see if I am a good fit for your needs. I live and have primarily focused all of my trauma informed care and trauma informed schools presentations in rural areas in Southwest Virginia. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a local member of our appointed school board.

Bettina Love is amazing! She spoke at our conference a few years ago as a keynote and received a standing and enduring ovation. She is a stunning speaker with a profoundly beautiful message.
Also, I hope that you are addressing corporal punishment in schools in this conference. Talk about a safety issue. Over 100,000 children a year are hit and hundreds of thousands of children witness and are aware of it and are enduring these toxic environments.
Tate Aldrich is another important person. He won teacher of the year a few years back and is leading the cause in Arkansas to end paddling in school.
Hi Brenda,
If you are interested in a keynote that addresses safety from a Polyvagal perspective, let's chat. HERE this NOW (my trauma-informed consulting firm) is hosting is own annual conference focused on the theme of felt safety upon the return to in-person learning and we have a line up of speakers and keynote addresses that might be appropriate for your own summit.
